“Who are the Viewbers?”
This series follows different Viewbers based all across the UK – sharing their experience of being a Viewber.
My name is Denise and I’m from Pontefract West Yorkshire. I have been a Viewber since October 2021 and have a background in Conservatory Manufacturing and Retail Management.
I am passionate about interior design and have renovated two properties to date, so becoming a Viewber was an opportunity to incorporate both my passion for property and to engage and meet new people!
My favourite viewings are auction properties and rentals… well I love them all really!
It always surprises me the variety of viewers that come through the doors and I love hearing their stories, backgrounds, ideas and plans for the properties.
On a recent viewing on a three-bed house, the owner went to a neighbour’s house while I did the viewing (my third viewing I’ve hosted on this house) and on her return to the house I said, “I may see you again” she replied, “I hope so!” – that made my day.
When I except a viewing invitation, it’s helpful to read the notes and brochure link provided by Viewber as it gives lots of details about each property I’ll be attending.
I arrive 15 mins early to an appointment, especially if I haven’t been to the property before, so I can get a feel for the house, location, appliances, boiler, electric box, loft etc.
I always turn on lights and open curtains and a few windows. I find most viewers arrive early or on time for their viewing so it’s important to be on time!
When sending feedback at the end of the viewing I always give honest and accurate feedback from what the viewer said and add any further details about the property they wanted to know that I couldn’t answer. I’m always positive about a property and give as much detail as possible to the best of my knowledge.
Being a Viewber fits my lifestyle perfectly and I can take a viewing to suit my availability. I am quite an active Viewber and have just clocked up over 170 viewings since January this year!
For fellow Viewbers, my top-tip is making sure you have an alert on your email so you get to see the viewings as soon as they pop up.
