Introducing the new ‘2-step’ viewings process

Posted on 28 May, 2020

Viewber can provide both vital parts of the ‘new normal’ viewings process – initial ‘remote or virtual’ viewings as well as follow-up accompanied visits.

The Government reopened UK Property PLC on 13th May 2020, issuing new guidelines on how the home moving process should be conducted during the pandemic. The full details can be found on the Government’s dedicated home moving web page but in relation to viewings, it has the following advice:

Initial viewings should be done virtually wherever this is possible and physical viewings should only be conducted where buyers are seriously considering making an offer on a property.”

The Viewber team has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure it is able to help estate agents, letting agencies, auctioneers and property managers in all sectors to get back up to optimal business speed as fast as possible, and we are pleased that we can facilitate both parts of the new two-step viewings process.

In fact, we offered accompanied visits, property inspections, videos – with or without commentary and 360? virtual property tours long before the pandemic, so we already have the technology and ordering system in place to help property professionals who are overwhelmed with viewings requests or who are reopening with a reduced workforce. The advantage Viewber has is that we have a completely national service with a single point of access and single SLA.

We have also introduced new ways of viewing a property in the shape of live video calls using WhatsApp - for one-to-one or virtual ‘open house’ style appointments.

Here’s what you can order from Viewber immediately:

Step 1 – facilitate virtual viewings

- Live video calls that can be booked for a minimum of 30 minutes

- Recorded walkthrough video – with or without commentary

- 360? virtual property tours, with floorplans and interactive dollshouse model

- Basic and enhanced property photography

- ‘On my behalf’ unaccompanied viewings with video and follow-up opinion report

Step 2 – accompanied visits for qualified viewers

- Accompanied viewings from 30 minutes in duration

- Meet & greet tenant appointments – can include Right to Rent checks, key handover and document signing

Working safely

We take the health of our Viewbers, clients and property occupants extremely seriously, therefore we are strictly adhering to the Government’s guidance when it comes to working within people’s homes and facilitating the home moving process.

To ensure optimum safety, we have formulated our own guidance for our clients and self-employed Viewbers - you can find the full details here. Rest assured, risk assessment and risk reduction is at the heart of the way Viewber is operating in the ‘new normal’, and our extensive planning regarding social distancing and hygiene standards has created the safest way to visit and view properties.
