Property Viewing Agents Cheshire
I’ve been a Viewber for just coming up to a year and I am fast approaching my 400th appointment. I have also recently completed the floor plan academy training, which I am really enjoying.
Born to a property developer I grew up on building sites and moved home 36 times before leaving home, so it was only natural that my first job would be as a Saturday girl in the local estate agents!
Originally from Sussex, mostly with a property management background, I worked my way up the corporate ladder (and up the country!)
More recently I managed blocks of property in and around Warrington and one day decided to stay. I now have a three-year-old son and elderly parents to care for, so when priorities changed and the opportunity came along to be a Viewber it was absolutely perfect to fit in around other commitments, including working in a real ale bar (another passion of mine) whilst still doing what I love in the day.
There’s nothing quite like receiving a set of keys in the post and an invitation to photograph a property for marketing, pulling up outside not knowing what you’re going to find. I used to manage a portfolio of Student Let’s in Brighton, so I’ve seen most things – not much phases me – but I have to admit, face masks and gloves come in handy sometimes though! I always keep a pair of wellies in my car boot too.
After the big freeze and thaw just before Christmas 2022, I did find one property flooded, with a queue of viewers waiting, that was a bit tricky, but it was nice to return a few weeks later and hand the keys over to the winning bidder and see the property drying out without too much damage.
The best bit (being a bit of a period feature nerd) is finding period features, and treasure troves of old furniture ripe for up-cycling (one of my spare time hobbies) – I tripped over a handle of a safe in a floor whilst reading a meter once, what a find! The property used to be a bank.
I suppose I mostly aspire to my father, but, if I bumped into Martin Roberts @homesunderthehammer on site, I’d be delighted! He always calls a spade a spade! I follow him on Instagram and I especially enjoy reading Scarlette Douglas posts on #mydrramderelicthomeinthesun and @worsthouseonthestreet.
