Viewber Diaries: Lorraine’s Story of Property Viewings & Inspections in Bedfordshire
Hi, I’m Lorraine – though most people call me Lolly – a Bedfordshire-based Viewber Member who genuinely loves being out and about in the property world.
For me, joining Viewber felt like a natural step. I already spend so much of my time in and around property that it almost didn’t feel like a change, more like everything aligning in one place. Alongside running serviced accommodation, managing renovations, and showing guests around homes, I’ve always been immersed in the property lifestyle. So stepping into Viewber just made sense.
A life built around property
My background has always revolved around property in one way or another. I’ve hosted, styled interiors, managed maintenance issues, and unlocked more doors than I can count.
I’m the kind of person who walks into a house and immediately starts imagining how it could be transformed – the lighting, the layout, the flow of the space – and most importantly, how it could feel as a home, not just a building.
Outside of property, I’m drawn to anything creative. I love exploring new restaurants, travelling when I can, spending time with my family, and I’m currently attempting (with mixed success) to learn the saxophone. Design, photography, and transforming overlooked spaces are all things that inspire me.
Becoming a Viewber Member in Bedfordshire
I’ve been working with Viewber Member in Bedfordshire for around 11 months now, and it fits naturally alongside everything else I do.
What I enjoy most is the variety. No two days feel the same, and every property brings something different.
One appointment that really stands out involved stepping in at short notice for a viewing where the buyer wasn’t initially sure about the area. By taking a bit of extra time to talk through the lifestyle side of the location (not just the property itself) the atmosphere completely shifted. By the end of the viewing, they were engaged, relaxed, and far more confident. It was a great reminder that viewings aren’t just about bricks and mortar; they’re about people and how a place fits into their life.
Favourite properties and preparation
My favourite properties are those with character -Victorian homes, quirky cottages, and projects with real potential. Homes with stories always stand out.
Preparation is key for every appointment. I always arrive early, read instructions carefully, and make sure I understand the property fully before anyone arrives. It’s important that viewers feel comfortable from the moment they step inside.
Over time, my car has basically become a mobile “Viewber kit” – complete with spare batteries, wipes, chargers, shoe covers, and anything else needed to keep the day running smoothly.
Working in a changing property landscape
The property market is always evolving, and adaptability is one of the most important skills in this industry. Clients expect professionalism, but also warmth and authenticity, and viewers appreciate someone who can balance both.
Looking ahead, I want to continue building my experience across the property sector while representing homes in a way that feels both professional and human.
Final thoughts
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to trust your instincts and not be afraid to reinvent yourself… because sometimes the best chapters begin when you least expect them!
