Property Viewing Agents Derbyshire

Property Viewing Agents Derbyshire
I’m Lisa, a Viewber based in Derbyshire, and I conduct appointments around my area and in nearby Nottinghamshire. I’ve been a Viewber since 2019 and really enjoy the flexibility it gives me, but I also enjoy meeting people and being involved in property sales and rentals.
After being involved in the family travel business for many years we decided to close our doors when it became difficult to compete with online sales. After moving house and renting out my first house, I started to take an interest in home improvements and property in general so in 2019 when I saw an advert for a ‘Viewber’ it really appealed to me!
Although I had some property experience, I have a real interest in it too and wanted to learn more so Viewber seemed a great opportunity to take things further. I remember being very nervous when I applied, Viewber seemed to be a very professional company, so I really wanted to do well and prove to them that I had something to offer. Viewber did indeed give me the opportunity and they have proved what an extremely professional company they are.
As my confidence grew, I took on various appointments including photography, video tours, social housing inspections, viewing on behalf of and other inspections. I enjoy the variation of appointments that are offered.
I have had many enjoyable experiences as a Viewber but one unusual viewing in particular comes to mind from last year when I received a request to hold keys for a commercial building in Chesterfield and after meeting the owner, he showed me around the huge premises that was once a nightclub (last open 10yrs ago) We really were ‘urban explorers’ with our large torches highlighting the dancefloors and bars still intact with the net which once held balloons and drinks left on bars. The Derbyshire Times arrived one day keen to do an article, the lovely reporter and photographer were fascinated and did a great article with photographs, read it here: ‘Find out what is inside a former Chesterfield nightclub that closed 10 years ago and is now up for auction for 270,000’
I like to think I helped to sell this property as the purchaser and I got on well, we talked about Chesterfield and what a great town it is with its unique crooked spire. We discussed how these abandoned buildings are crying out for development and how it would improve the town. He decided to buy the building and I was delighted to hand over keys to him – he even invited me back to see the finished development! I can’t wait to re visit as I have since found out that he is a prestigious builder in the area with a fantastic portfolio of local developments. I received a great message from the Agent too, ’You’ve been brill!’, which they kindly passed on to Viewber HQ.
I’ve always been a planner, so preparation for an appointment is key. I like to find out about the property and other information I can pass on to the viewers. I also like to learn about the Agent, most will have their own USP which is always good to point out and it gives confidence to the viewers too.
I like to have a conversation with the viewers, and the feedback questions that the Agent has can be part of the ‘conversation’. I like to find the positives of any property (and think I’m pretty good at finding at least one positive even at particularly bad properties that on the face of it have none!)
One of the prompt questions I was asked for when writing this blog post was ‘What would you tell your younger self?’ – I would say believe in yourself and have the confidence to do things you may feel a little intimidated by. If you enjoy what you do, you will want to learn and get better and you will.
I now listen to the Viewber ‘EdTalks’ podcasts and read about the property market. I find it very interesting. I’m not sure what will happen to the property market in the next year, but I hope more and more Agents recognise the valuable services that Viewber offer, and I very much look forward to a successful future with Viewber.
