The pandemic has turned our goals, aims and lifestyles on their head. More value than ever before is placed on wellbeing, mental health and our work-life balance, leaving workers questioning what they do, where they do it and how frequently it happens.
Even pre-Covid, the idea that our equilibriums were out of kilter was creeping into the mainstream. There is no escaping the fact we are in the midst of an employment crisis. News that the hospitality industry is offering cash incentives to coax employees back to work from furlough is a point in case, highlighting how dissatisfied people are with their careers. Iain is an actor but supplements his income by working in the leisure industry, painting and decorating, and providing support to small businesses. Inevitably, his workflow suffered during the pandemic but he found his Viewber assignments were not only a good way to fill the calendar but they also provided him with an escape.
